Students at Lima Primary School made the school’s grounds look more like Noah’s Ark as they brought their favorite stuffed animals to school for the Teddy Bear Picnic held on June 15.
The Teddy Bear picnic at the school is an annual event that signals the coming of the end of the school year. Students and their parents, along with younger siblings, enjoyed picnic fare such as hot dogs and salads and ice cream from the cafeteria or brought favorite foods from home, spreading blankets on the grass on the western side of the school by the playground. The students also brought their favorite stuffed animal or animals.
Seen this year were the usual assortment of bears of every size and color, but also dogs, cats (including tigers, lions and cougars as well as household felines), birds such as owls, rabbits, frogs and giraffes.
