Earlier in the year this column highlighted Dean Kamen’s advice to high school students: don’t accept learning just one skill set. This week we present that same lesson from the point of view of those already in the workforce. Every industry goes through a life cycle. In some industries, that life cycle can be very short. Kamen insists it will get smaller across the board. As a result, we need to be prepared to learn new skills before it’s too late.
