Cub Scout Pack 140 recently helped install a clothing dropoff shed in the parking lot of Scottsville’s Union Presbyterian Church (Browns Avenue). The church and the troop worked together to obtain all of the approvals to place the St. Pauly Textiles shed on the property. The scouts will manage and clean it. St. Pauly organization is the largest clothing collection organization in the region. The group aims to get usable clothing to people who can use it, here in the US and in developing countries. The scouts will use proceeds from their efforts hosting the shed in order to fund troop activities.
