It was a meeting at their mutual work site, the Whole Foods store on Monroe Ave. in Pittsford that first got things shakin’, pun intended, for Chris Jackling and Katie Gray. They were inspired to start their own wellness venture, and protein shakes are an integral part of what is offered at Falls Nutrition, located at 28 East Street and operating under the ownership of Chris and Katie.
This pair’s primary motivation for opening in Honeoye Falls was the desire to provide a local destination for healthy energy and making strong personal connections in the HF-L community. Falls Nutrition is a health and wellness café focused on providing convenient, balanced nutritional options. Simple daily steps can motivate healthier lifestyle choices, so their hand-crafted menu features new and exciting monthly specials.
The business emphasizes education, accessibility, and approachable wellness through functional beverages and nutrition-focused offerings. The concept is making healthy eating fun through colorful, flavorful, exciting and trendy menu items; (think multi-colored layered drinks and colorful fruity boba, protein shakes dressed with swirls of sugar free syrups and enticing toppings and mix-ins).
Falls Nutrition occupies the space of the former Sweet & Cute location and renovations have been made focusing on making the space open, bright, fresh, and welcoming. “Many people have commented about the brightened and enlarged space with plenty of seating,” they shared with us, before adding, “We are also a dog-friendly establishment and love to see your furry friends enjoy their free pup cups.” So if your pet has been particularly good this week, a date at Falls Nutrition might be the perfect reward.
Their core nutrition menu offers complete meal replacement protein shakes with 24g plant-based protein, 21 vitamins and minerals, digestive enzymes, healthy fiber, fruit extracts, low sugar, low fat, and it’s heart healthy. Also available are protein oatmeal bowls, protein treats & snacks, protein coffees, and healthy energy teas.
On a personal level, Chris Jackling grew up in Mendon and Pittsford and has 30+ years of experience in retail, including being a regional manager in the health and wellness industry. He has an extensive background in supplements, nutrition education, and customer wellness support. Chris’s personal interests include nature, dogs and sports cars.
Katie Gray is an HF-L grad who earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at St. John Fisher University. She has a strong background in specialty foods, packaging procurement, and sales management. Katie’s personal interests include gardening, art and her 3 dogs (2 Bernese Mountain Dogs and a border collie mix.
If you find yourself in the Village of Honeoye Falls looking for an energy boost, a healthy meal, or a relaxing time, in an airy newly-renovated environment, you should definitely stop by Falls Nutrition for a visit with Chris and Katie.
