The Honeoye Falls Community Concert Band will kick off their 31st season with a selection of pieces that honor the 100th Anniversary of the end of World War I and the 100th Birthday of Leonard Bernstein.
Enjoy a free night of music from your local Honeoye Falls Community Concert Band. This year’s performance will honor the 100th Anniversary of Armistice Day with World War I themed selections including “Echoes From the Battlefield” arranged by Darren W. Jenkins and “James Reese Europe’s 369th Hellfighter Band” arranged by James Lamb. Fans of the movie/stage performance of “War Horse” will love “Dartmoor, 1912” written by John Williams.
2018 also marks the 100th Birthday of Leonard Bernstein. The Honeoye Falls Community Concert Band has selected some of his well-known pieces from “West Side Story” and “Wrong Note Rag” to round out Saturday’s program.
The concert will be held on Saturday, October 20th at 7:00 PM in the HF-L District Auditorium (619 Quaker Meeting House Road). Admission is free and open to the public; donations are graciously accepted.
