The Village of Honeoye Falls was pleased to accept CREST grant funding provided by New York State and Assemblywoman Jen Lunsford for three specific projects and purchases.
The $595,000 in grant/funding support does not come along to the Village of Honeoye Falls very often. This funding is ear-marked for the following:
The purchase of a new ambulance for the Honeoye Falls-Mendon Ambulance. ($170,000) REPLACING a 2017 ambulance that was a remount from a 2009 rig (14 years+)
The purchase of a new Street Sweeper ($300,000) replacing a 20+ year old unit.
A West Main Street side-walk replacement from Episcopal Avenue to Norton Street ($125,000)
This CREST Grant funding eases the tax-payer burden of supporting this through local taxes and moreover will allow these critical projects and needs to be completed immediately and not budgeted for long-term.
About this vital funding, Deputy Mayor Dan Harris stated, “These investments will enhance safety and quality of life for our residents, and we are truly thankful for the impact to our community’s well-being.”
Honeoye Falls-Mendon Ambulance Chief Ed Sheidlower stated, “On behalf of the Honeoye Falls-Mendon Volunteer Ambulance, we are extremely grateful to Assemblymember Lunsford and her team for the continued support of our ambulance department and the critical services we provide.”
The Village of Honeoye Falls thanks Assemblywoman Jen Lunsford (and her team) for support in attaining this impactful funding for the community.
