The Mendon Fire Department Auxiliary, local Totiakton Girl Scouts, and the Mendon Public Library volunteers and staff participated in the Mendon Fire Department Carnival, giving away free books, and sharing information about the Mendon Public Library’s Summer Reading Program.
During the Carnival, on Saturday, June 3, 2023, volunteers shared books at the Carnival, offered a Quiet Tent for children and parents needing an escape from the carnival, and marched in the parade. In total, 1,000 books were distributed.
