The Mendon Public Library is currently featuring an art display by Philip L Probst, a painter hailing from Canandaigua (shown in the photo above with his artwork). The works are full of color and design and are sure to make you stop and think.
“Painting has always been a necessary process in my life. A tangible connection to the world around me,” said Philip. “Interpretation of this world, old and new, release of energies. Less ambiguities, a bit more subtle humor and details.”
Philip explains, “I work in several media: oil, acrylics, inks, watercolors, spray paints, collage. Also in several genres, often on canvas, or paper but not limited to. Mostly, my subject is on a flat surface, often on the floor as I feel a better sense of control and balance of my work and end product.”
Stop by the library to view Philip’s art which will be on display through the end of September.
