America sits on the cusp of a truly historical event – the first non-career politician to preside over the Oval Office since Dwight David Eisenhower. Unlike Ike, whom everyone purportedly liked, Donald Trump has no such luxury. He’s been placed there for one reason and one reason only: to drain the swamp. This means he has the privilege to count both Democrats and Republicans among his opposition. Even those who claim the legacy of Ronald Reagan want to dump Trump, if only because he hasn’t, at least in their minds, embraced their vision of the Reagan Revolution. I’ve had the honor to have known at least one of these prominent “NeverTrumpers” since, well, since we were soldiers in the Reagan Revolution. Went she went public with her opposition to Trump during the height of the Republican primaries, I penned her this letter that you can read in this week’s Carosa Commentary “Why Trump Won’t Lead The Reagan Revolution.”
