In the spirit of historic Chautauquas that celebrated learning, culture, and lively exchange of ideas, the West Bloomfield Congregational United Church of Christ will host a Day of Curiosity on Saturday, February 7.

The event will feature a full day of engaging, expert-led presentations and interactive workshops on a wide-ranging and eclectic mix of topics, including Cryptocurrency 101, Nutrition, Improvisational Leadership, Self-Awareness Through Movement, Trauma-Informed Care, The Future of Church, Tree Grafting, Sound Bath, and Having Difficult Conversations.

While hosted by the church, the Day of Curiosity is secular, non-denominational, and open to everyone. “This isn’t about religion,” say event organizers. “It’s about exploring new ideas, expanding perspective, enjoying thoughtful conversation, and having fun while learning something new.”

The event will take place on the church’s fully accessible campus at 9035 Routes 5 & 20 in West Bloomfield and includes a vegetarian lunch, with coffee and snacks available throughout the day. Childcare will be provided, making the event accessible to participants of all ages.

A suggested donation of $20 and a non-perishable food item for the church’s HOPE Food Pantry are requested. Advance registration is encouraged. Online registration closes Sunday, February 1, though day-of registration will be available as space allows.

For more information and to register, visit the church’s website wbccucc, org or call 585-624-1313.
