The Sixth Annual Winter on the Green will be a fundraising event to benefit Julie Bagley, a resident of Honeoye Falls. The event will be Saturday, January 27th from 6:30 p.m.-12 a.m. at Wild Wood Country Club, 1201 Rush-West Rush Road in Rush.

There will be food stations, desserts with a cash bar, music by Encore Events, a Chinese Auction, a 50/50 Raffle and a Silent Auction.

Bagley is a vibrant person known for her outgoing and optimistic spirit – a true “glass is half full” person. As a devoted single mother of four, active community member and passionate volunteer, Bagley always puts others first. Her life took an unexpected turn on August 25th, 2023 when a trip to the ER revealed a significant tumor in her small intestine. Emergency surgery followed, and she was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive double expresser non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma affecting multiple organs. Now facing a challenging journey of chemotherapy, potential radiation, a bone marrow transplant, and more, she needs the community’s support. Her resilience will be tested, both physically and emotionally, and the financial strain of medical costs and a potential year-long absence from work looms large.

The evening will be for a great cause. Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. The tickets are available at The Cottage Hotel in Mendon, iPad Rehab in Honeoye Falls and the Underpass Bar & Grill in Fairport. You can also Venmo @JulieStrong2023 (memo WOTG). If you are not able to attend, but would still like to help her and her family, please go to https://www.gofundme.com/f/join-the-fight-help-julie-bagley-beat-cancer.
