While area towns and villages were certainly buffeted by the winds on Saturday, December 11, thankfully there were not wide-spread outages.

Mendon Town Supervisor John Moffitt said on Monday (December 13) that he would estimate about 400-500 residents lost power durng the height of the storm. Residents are served by both Rochester Gas & Eleectric and National Grid.

As of 3 p.m. on Monday, 21 homes on West Bloomfield Road in the town still did not have power, according to RG&E, he said. RG&E estimated power restoration to be 11:30 p.m. on Monday night. National Grid was showing no outages in Mendon at 3 p.m. on Monday.

Moffitt said he was aware of several areas in the town losing power at some point during the storm, including residents on Sibley Road, Chamberlain Road, West Bloomfield Road and a portion of the Village of Honeoye Falls.
