The story of us – the Greater Western New York Region – begins on a late Summer day in August of 1779. It wasn’t the best of times, but it wasn’t the worst of times. What it was, however, was the first time truly American eyes saw the splendor of Greater Western New York. Do you remember this story from elementary school?
