On Monday night, April 10, 2017, at a Town of Mendon Board meeting, County Legislator, Karla F. Boyce presented a special “Certificate of Recognition” to Mendon resident and outstanding volunteer, Ron Knight.

Knight, who served as the Heart of our Town Capital Campaign chair for the Mendon Public Library from 2009-2016, was honored by Legislator Boyce on behalf of the entire Monroe County Legislature because, “Service to one’s community takes dedication and hard work. Those willing to use their gifts and skills to improve their communities should be commended for their efforts.”

The proclamation went on to say, “Ron’s commitment and service to our community should not go without notice. The Monroe County Legislature is proud to have leaders like Ron working to make our towns a better place to live.”

A cornerstone of the Mendon community since 1936, Mendon Public Library offers patrons access to over 1 million items in the Monroe County Library System.
