Mendon COO, located at The Mendon Academy, 16 Mendon Ionia Road (Home to Studio Move), will be holding several events, two of them within the next month.

The first event is Meet the Artists! on Sunday, April 23rd from 1-4 p.m. Our space is bursting with color, a variety of mediums, talent and creativity. Enjoy live music, refreshments and conversation.

The second is a Book Signing with author Michael Keene on Thursday, May 25th at 7:00 p.m. He will speak about his recent book Vietnam Reflections, The Untold Story of the Holley Boys.

The last is Holidays in the Hamlet – Holiday Shopping Market on October 12th -14th at the Msgr. Schnacky Community Center.
Mendon COOP owner Barb Amering, a resident of Mendon for 30 years, founded the Mendon COOP in November of 2015.

Trained in the fine arts and having worked with the Nan Miller Gallery for several years, her keen eye and sense of style brings a new colorful flare to our area. The shop offers a unique shopping experience while supporting the community. With so much talent in our area it was easy to create a marketplace that allows our artists an opportunity to display, sell and showcase their talents and wares year-round.

Currently exhibiting over 50 artists and new items arriving on a regular basis, you can always find something new, exciting, local and handmade.

Many of those same artists share their talents and the COOP offers several classes each week for folks to create, relax and enjoy their time spent with friends, new and old. With a complete kitchen, cooking classes are next on the agenda.

Hours are Tuesday-Friday from 2-6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Find it on Facebook or at the website www.mendoncoop.com. For more information, email mendoncoop@rochester.rr.com.
