Bleak House Books, Honeoye Falls’ latest new business, had a soft open this past weekend. Mayor Rick Milne was there and this is what he had to say:
“The Bleak House Books which we were talking about earlier had a soft opening this weekend, We’re really excited about this new store opening up in the Village. I hear they’re going to have some 80,000 books in this bookstore. Make sure you take some time to get there. If you didn’t make it over the weekend, get there in the upcoming week. Welcome them to the Village community, to the area. We’re really excited to have them here, and the place looks absolutely fantastic if you’ve been able to peek in the windows.”
In a statement on their Facebook page, Bleak House Books said the turnout for the soft opening was “miraculous” and the business estimates they sold around 350 books during the 8 hours they were open. The bookstore will be open again this weekend, July 1st and 2nd, from 12 pm to 6 pm each day.
