On Friday, November 20 at approximately 1:30 a.m., fire crews were called to a house fire on Clay Street in Lima.
Lima firefighters arrived first and found the home fully involved. They were assisted at the scene by Honeoye Falls, East Avon and Livonia Fire Departments.
Tanker trucks were called in from numerous area companies, as there are no hydrants in the immediate area.
The residents, a couple and their son escaped safely along with several pets.
The home was a total loss and the cause is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
