Voters in both the Honeoye Falls-Lima and Wheatland-Chili Central School Districts passed their respective school budget proposals for 2019-2020 during school budget voting on May 21.
HF-L residents approved its school budget proposal of $50,699,032 by 754-213. They also passed a proposition to purchase up to seven busses for a sum not to exceed $574,000 by 743-223. In a four-way race for the three seats on the school board, Stephanie Templeton received 671 votes, David Francis 646, Gary Stottler 601 and Kelli Eberle 575. Templeton, Francis and Stottler were incumbents so all three will be returning to the board.
In Wheatland-Chili, voters passed the budget proposal of $19,522,419 by 169-44. They also approved three propositions: school bus purchases up to $232,000 by 177-37; grounds equipment purchases up to $55,000 by 174-40; and school equipment purchases up to $326,000 by 170-44. Incumbent Gregory Berl was re-elected to the school board and newcomer Cindy Dawson will also join the board.
