The hamlet was sparkling extra bright on Wednesday December 3rd for the annual Holidays in the Hamlet, hosted by the Mendon Community Business Association (MCBA). The fresh blanket of snow, the decorated gazebo and forest of lit Christmas trees brought a great accent as Santa led the community in the lighting of the grand Christmas tree.
The jingle of bells could be heard throughout the hamlet as the team of Percheron horses treated everyone to wagon rides. Guests got to enjoy activities at Mendon Commons, Mendon Academy, Westminster, the Cottage Hotel and At Home With Wellness including artisan shopping, hosted sensory activities, letter writing to Santa, cookies and cocoa, popcorn ornament craft, complementary professional photos with Santa, free Infrared Sauna use and more. The MCBA also offered over $1000 in raffle prizes from a Buffalo Bills varsity jacket to gift certificates, gift baskets and more. This family friendly evening brought great smiles, memorable family photos, hand-crafted gifts, fresh air and the jingle and joy of the holiday season to all from the young to our seniors.
