The Honeoye Falls Fire Department was called in on August 13 to assist the Honeoye Falls Ambulance and Monroe County Sheriff’s Department in searching and rescuing an injured hiker in Mendon Ponds Park. The department was dispatched at about 12:20 p.m. The search last about an hour and once the victim was found, their injuries were stabilized and they were safely removed from the park and transported to a local hospital.
