The American Legion Honeoye Falls Post #664 joined with the Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War Abraham Lincoln Camp 6 Rochester to participate in the National Wreaths Across America Day on December 18, 2021.

The ceremony took place at the Veteran’s Memorial at the Honeoye Falls cemetery next to the Post home with the Legion members laying a wreath at the base of each services’ flagpole. There was a short speech by the Post Commander and Taps was played.

The Sons of Union Veterans placed wreaths in the Old Section of the Cemetery, across the road from the Legion Post home (the Falls Post 664/Town of Mendon Community Ceneter).
Legion members wish to thank Lynn Menz and Deborah Milne-O’Brien for their help in making the event possible.

Wreaths Across America is a national organization which brings volunteers to 3,100 cemeteries in a nationwide effort to honor fallen veterans and soldiers during the holidays. The effort began 30 years ago with volunteers laying wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery.
