It was a beautiful day for a picnic outside and that’s exactly what the kindergarten and first-grade students at Lima Primary School enjoyed with their families on June 14 after the students had participated in the school’s annual Flag Day festivities.

The students were able to bring their favorite stuffed animal to the school’s annual Teddy Bear Picnic. The students, their “little friend” and their moms and dads enjoyed the typical picnic fare outside on the school’s lawn on the west side of the building by the playground. The picnic, like the Flag Day activities, is a tradition that marks the nearing of the conclusion of the school year.

This year, the students brought all sorts of stuffed animals to the picnic. While Teddy Bears of all sizes and colors were prominent, other stuffed animals were also seen clutched in the hands of their young owners. There were dogs, cats, lions, cougars, tigers, rabbits, turtles and frogs. A few dolls also made the scene.
