If local residents need help with food, there are many resources for them to turn to during the COVID-19 crisis.
In Lima, help is available from the Lima Food pantry. In a recent Supervisor’s Message on the town of Lima website, Lima Town Supervisor Mike Falk said “Simply phone the Town Hall at 582-1130. You do not need to give your name. Just mention “food pantry help” and leave a phone number where you can be reached. A food pantry volunteer will get back to you within 24 hours.”
Local restaurants are also offering takeout. They are the American Hotel 624-9464, Fanatics 624-2080, Jonny B’s Custom BBQ 582-PORK and Lima Diner Family Restaurant 624-9123.
In Mendon and Honeoye Falls, there are two organizations that can help residents. They are the FISH Food Cupboard (call 453-2370) or the HFL Grassroots organization (call 371-8387). Both not only help residents, but will take donations of food and probably need volunteers to assist them.
Local restaurants in Honeoye Falls and Mendon offering takeout are Critics (624-4895), the HF Distillery (624-1700), Main Street Café (582-6444), Ruck’s Pizza (582-6556), Salvatore’s Pizza (582-2525), Dunkin Donuts (582-2286), HFMP (624-1560), Clemenza’s Pizza (624-5545), Pizza D’s (582-6087), The Cottage Hotel (624-1390), Crabby Dan’s (624-7760), Mendon 64 (433-9464) and Mendon Meadows Marketplace (624-3920). These are subject to change and all of them have varied hours, so it is best to call ahead to see what their hours are and if they also offer delivery.
