The Daughters of the American Revolution Ska-Hase-Ga-O Chapter in Lima celebrated the holiday season with members and guests on Saturday, December 10th, at the Lima Presbyterian Church. The traditional holiday tea was held in honor of DAR’s Good Citizen award recipients from area high schools.

DAR’s Good Citizen program recognizes and rewards outstanding high school seniors who demonstrate these strong American values: dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism. In attendance this year were Emily Mike, from Mount Morris Central School, and Chas Doerflinger, from Livonia Central School, along with their proud parents.

Award winners not in attendance included Hudson Volpe from Avon Central School and Anna Lyness from York Central School.

Members provided a variety of treats, enjoyed by all. Another highlight of the event was the presentation of an official DAR Ska-Hase-Ga-O flag to be used at future chapter events.
