Jack Malloy (left) and Sam Carosa (right) received their Eagle Scout badges this past Sunday (August 7, 2016) during their joint Eagle Scout Ceremony held at St. Catherine’s Church in Mendon. Both are members of Troop 105, chartered by the Mendon Fire Department. Jack graduated from Bloomfield and is heading to St. John’s to study business. His Eagle Scout project rebuilt the foundation of the flagpole in front of the Monsignor Schnacky Community Center and included laying down brick pavers and upgrading the lighting. Sam graduated from Rush-Henrietta and is going to Niagara University to study accounting. His Eagle Scout project involved installing storage shelving in the Mendon Foundation’s building on the Lehigh Valley Trail by the baseball fields in the hamlet of Mendon.
