Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputies released the name of the person who died in a crash on Rush Lima Road Saturday morning.
Mitch DeWaters, 64, was traveling northbound on the road when his vehicle went off the road, rolled and struck a house at 6416 Rush Lima Road. The Lima resident was pronounced dead at the scene; it is believed that he had a heart attack.
DeWaters was involved in the Monsignor Schnacky Community Players.
“He will be missed. He was a very kind person who made everyone feel comfortable and included,” said Andrea Borrelli, a longtime member of the Schnacky Players.
