Cowlesville hosts its 35th Annual Flea Market & Strawberry Social on Sunday, July 14th from 9:00am – 4:00pm, rain or shine. This outdoor event is embraced by many from as far as Olean, Ithaca and Grand Island.
After a first visit to the Flea Market, you will be astonished with all the yard sales in this little town. Each year so many look forward to Cowlesville Flea Market Day as it’s always a day of fun and so many things to look at. Not only will you find more yard sales than many can hit in a single day, but you’ll find some of the best prices around, regardless of what you’re looking for.
Over the years, the Flea Market has evolved while keeping with tradition. Live music has been added. Porcelain Train and Hintz of Thunder will play on opposite ends of Clinton St.
Crafters/Vendors are another welcomed feature. Several will make their first appearance this year: Renee (earrings & bracelets), Color Street, Crafty Duck Creations, Lilla Rose Haircessories, and Penelope’s Pendants & More. Don’t pass by the regular vendors such as Iron Man Tools, Tastefully Simple, Tupperware, Usborne Books, Avon, Tom’s Thumb and others. And of course, yard sales everywhere.
The Flea Market proudly supports young entrepreneurs raising money for a good cause. Its young friend 8-year old Kade from Avon will be back selling lemonade to earn money for school supplies & clothes; this is his second year at the Flea Market. Eleven-year old JR is determined to raise money for Boy Scout Camp by selling drinks.
Treating your taste buds is a must! Patrick will have his amazing BBQ chicken & pulled pork (Church St @ Sargent). Buckaroos always delivers with their tasty Poutine, Fried Dough, Fried Oreos, & more. The SPCA will sell hotdogs near Pine Lounge. A slice of pizza special can be had at Kadds Mart. Again, The Historical Society continues to host the annual Strawberry Social at the Historical Museum.
One of the Flea Market favorites are the adorable puppies/dogs looking for a forever family to love. Open Arms Rescue sets up at the corner of Clinton & Lapp. Let’s help these loveable fur-babies!
Cowlesville is located 20 minutes SW of Darien Lake. Google Clinton St @ Bullis Rd. Many yard sales can be found on the village streets off Clinton. There is lots of parking available on the back streets.
The Flea Market organizers thank all the friends in NY State who help in keeping this community tradition going. It’s because of you and those in the media who support them that help make this day such a success! They’ll see you on July 14th!
