On Sunday November 6, the Smith-Warren American Legion Post 367 in Scottsville hosted its annual brunch to honor local veterans. A delicious brunch was served, followed by a solemn and heartfelt service. A symbolic tribute table was set up to honor the veterans that were still listed as MIA/POW and the family’s heartbreak of not knowing. The tables were decorated with these handmade cards from Rush Henrietta Vollmer Elementary School’s fifth graders and Tom McManus read his tribute “What is a Veteran”.
