Each year the parishioners of Saint Paul of the Cross Church in Honeoye Falls commemorate Saint Joseph’s Day (March 19) with a traditional Saint Joseph’s Table. Legend has it that a severe drought in Sicily in the Middle Ages ended when the townspeople prayed for Saint Joseph to intervene on their behalf. In thanksgiving a great feast was given. Saint Joseph’s Tables are celebrated annually all over the world featuring special linens and wonderful foods. It is rooted in a spirit of thanksgiving and charity and is meant to be shared with everyone.
