Mendon Town Supervisor John D. Moffitt was recently unanimously elected to serve as President of the Monroe County Supervisor’s Association by his fellow Town Supervisors.
“It is an honor to represent the Supervisor’s Association and Town of Mendon in this new and exciting capacity,” said Supervisor Moffitt. “The Association has a proven record of working together to develop new and innovative solutions to local issues we all face. I look forward to working with my fellow Town Supervisors to ensure we all provide the best possible level of service and results to local taxpayers.”
The Monroe County Supervisor’s Association is a collaborative group consisting of the elected Town Supervisors from each of Monroe County’s 19 towns. The group has been a leader in developing and implementing innovative cost-savings measures through efficiencies and shared services. The group worked closely with Monroe County to formulate the Local
Government Tax Freeze Efficiency Plan, which guaranteed compliance with Year Two of the New York State Tax Freeze and ensured local residents would be eligible to receive property tax rebate checks.
