For 45 wonderful years, the Monsignor Schnacky Community Players have brightened winter in our community by bringing people together through laughter, music, and the shared joy of live theater. January 30-February 7, that beloved tradition continues with a brand-new comedy, “The Last Curtain Call”, written by Patrick Ashley.

Presented as a true ministry of laughter and community at Saint Catherine’s of Siena Parish, this lively production is a love letter to theater—and to the wonderfully human characters who inhabit it.
A Comedy Full of Characters (and Character)

“The Last Curtain Call” introduces audiences to a colorful ensemble that feels delightfully familiar. You’ll meet the diva, the wide-eyed novice, the seasoned expert, the ever-serious Shakespearean actor, and even the conspiracy theorist who sees drama everywhere—onstage and off.

At the heart of the story is an endlessly optimistic director—the heroine who believes in her cast even when things go spectacularly wrong. Hanging on her every word is a loyal producer, while the story’s villain—who may also be its unlikely hero—is a disgruntled actor haunted by a disastrous onstage moment he has never quite forgotten. With music, surprises, and plenty of theatrical inside jokes, the evening promises nonstop laughs and heartfelt moments.
