The Honeoye Falls-Lima High School National Honor Society welcomed 60 new members into its ranks at an induction ceremony on January 24 at the high school auditorium.
After a welcome by HF-L NHS President Seamus Gillis, there were presentations by NHS officers on the four principles of NHS: Character (Molly Connors, Public Relations), Scholarship (Henry Shields, Vice President/Academics), Service (Abiageal Finn, Secretary) and Leadership (Casey Wall, Treasurer).
This year, the NHS members selected Mr. Andrew Corey, who teaches biology and environmental studies at the high school, to be the keynote speaker.
The induction of new members was handled by Olivia Hullihen, the NHS Vice President/Service. NHS Co-Advisor Mrs. Dianne Witkowski led the new members in the recitation of the National Honor Society oath. NHS Co-Advisor Mrs. Nicole Glavin made some concluding remarks.
