The New York State Department of Transportation announced that the bridge carrying Route 65 over Honeoye Creek in the Village of Honeoye Falls, Monroe County is scheduled to close for repairs Monday, August 6th at 8 a.m. and reopen to traffic Friday, August 10th at 4 p.m.

NYSDOT Bridge Maintenance forces will be working during the daytime to replace bridge joints.

Local traffic will be maintained throughout the duration of the repairs and have access to businesses near the bridge. The bridge itself will close to vehicular traffic, but at least one sidewalk will remain open during the closure for pedestrian access.

Detour signs will be posted directing traffic to West Main Street, Route 15A, Route 5 & US 20, and Route 65.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver’s license.
