The Village of Honeoye Falls invites its residents to participate in a Zoning Workshop, serving as the first public outreach effort of the 2017 Zoning District Update process. The Zoning Workshop will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, from 6:30 to 8:00PM in the Honeoye Falls-Lima Senior High School Auditorium located at 83 East Street, Honeoye Falls, New York.
The Village of Honeoye Falls is updating its local zoning district framework to ensure compatibility with current community development preferences and to improve clarity and understanding of the regulations for all users of the Code. This zoning district update is also the first step in making sure the Zoning Code is consistent with the Village’s overall community vision as outlined in the adopted 2014 Comprehensive Plan. This Plan and the current Zoning Code may be found on the Village’s webpage.

The Village of Honeoye Falls has hired the Steinmetz Planning Group to lead the zoning district update process. This project is expected to be completed within six months. There will be additional public input opportunities announced later in the process.
The purpose of the Zoning Workshop on November 1st will be to introduce the public to the Steering Committee members and consultant team, provide a brief introduction to the proposed district framework update process, and solicit Village resident and stakeholder input. Attendees will also be given an opportunity to participate in a series of brainstorming activities to better understand local preferences with respect to land use and development character.

All residents, business and property owners, community leaders, and individuals with an interest in the future of the Village of Honeoye Falls are encouraged to attend. Your input is needed to help shape this process and ensure that the resulting zoning district framework is an accurate depiction of the Village’s community preferences.

If you would like more information about this event, please contact Rick Milne, Mayor at mayor@villageofhoneoyefalls.org.
