The Honeoye Falls-Lima High School choirs, 55 students strong, did extremely well at the Darien Lake Music Festival on Saturday, June 6th.
The High School Treble Choir received an “Outstanding” rating and a combined score of 97.8 to take second place in its category. Five girls received soloist awards: Dylan Berkeley, Clara Boldt, Edie Brownsword, Alia Holzman and Megan Merrill. An accompanist award was presented to Samantha Lloyd on flute.
The High School Mixed Chorus received an “Outstanding” rating and a combined score of 98.0 and captured first place in its category.
The High School Select Choir received an “Outstanding” rating and a combined score of 99.8 and captured first place in its category and the Grand Judges Award.
The choirs are under the direction of Ken Goold.
