When Honeoye Falls-Lima High School choral director Ken Goold put up a sign-up sheet for interest in performing at the HF-L High School Music Unplugged concert, it didn’t take long for it to fill up and he had to put up a second sheet.

The Unplugged concert on June 16 at the high school auditorium featured 34 songs and almost 40 different students. The concert is the work of the students with a student crew running lights, sound and video, acting as a stage crew and designing the program. It allows the students, many of them seniors, one more chance to perform on stage.

The first half of the program was MCed by seniors Noah Adams and Jason Howard with the second half hosted by Colin Fanning, another senior, and Zach Boehm.

Kate Gabrielsen, Taber Gloor and Maegan Frame began the program with Ketchum, ID. David Tuller performed Just Haven’t Met You Yet. Jenna Quinn sang Thank You For The Music. Nick Boggio performed Since I Saw Vienna. A group of students named the 5 Second Rule did a hilarious version of Dear Future Husband. Aubrey Bent sang Butterfly Fly Away. Kaylee Henshaw and Will Emerson did You Matter To Me as a duet. Sam Roth, Boggio and Noah Close collaborated on Molly’s Lips. Sophie Stanley sang Someone Like You. Emerson and Boggio teamed for a fun song $1,000,000. Tali Camobreco sang Rivers and Roads. Frame, Alana Khona and Gabrielsen collaborated on Make You Feel My Love. Gloor, Gabrielsen and Henshaw teamed up for the song Back to Black. Twin sisters Claire Connors and Maeve Connors performed Riptide.
