Over the month of January, several students from Honeoye Falls-Lima’s High School, Middle School and Manor School participated in the Monroe County School Music Association Winter Solo Festivals.

High School students who went to the High School Vocal Solo Festival on January 6 and 7 at Brighton High School were Gabrielle Chapman, Claire Connors, Maeve Connors, Owen Dack, Will Emerson, Madison Fleming, Abby Fraser, Kate Gabrielsen, Taber Gloor, Kaylee Henshaw, Natalie McDonald, Jenna Quinn, Mary Repass, Wesley Reinhard, Briana Rowles, David Tuller and Ava Youngblut.

High School students in the High School Instrumental Solo Festival on January 13 and 14 at Minerva DeLand School in Fairport were Calvin Burke, Henry Burke, Claire Connors, Maeve Connors, Owen Dack, Ellie Davis, Natalie Gilbert, Alana Khona and Sarah McLaughlin and those participating in the High School Jazz Instrumental Solo Fest at Barker Road Middle School on January 27 and 28 were Edward Brown, Noah Close, Andrew Stansbury and Nolan Tompsett.

Seventh and eighth-grade students from HF-L Middle School participating in the Junior High Solo Festival on January 20 and 21 in the instrumental portion were Ryleigh Abell (flute), Kellen Adams (clarinet), Holden Allen (saxophone), Ben Bell (mallet percussion), Emma Blythe (clarinet), Lukas Boldt (trumpet), Wilson Bond (trumpet), Linus Burke (trumpet), Nathaniel Butler (flute), Lily Caffrey (flute), Tiger Comstock (trumpet), Nathan Conrad (trumpet), Oren Davis (saxophone), Grayson Etter (mallet percussion), Rylie Fenton (clarinet), Ella Fowler (flute), Allie Hawks (saxophone), Milo Kittleson (saxophone), Cora Koelsch (snare drum), Emily Lawrence (saxophone), Madelyn Lloyd (trumpet), Liam O’Connell (flute) and Smith Schaefer (trombone). There were no students from HF-L Middle School who were in the vocal portion.

Sixth-grade instrumentalists from the Middle School who were in the Elementary Solo Festival at Barker Road Middle School in Pittsford on January 27 and 28 were Mallory-Nicole Batz (clarinet), Betsy Burdett (trumpet), Maisie Burdett (euphonium), Grace DeFranco (clarinet), Lucas Fitzpatrick (trombone), William Fowler (trumpet), Fiona Gelb (clarinet), Kaleb Kleinberg (trombone), Samantha Lloyd (flute), Vivian Marshall (snare drum), Heather Parham (violin and clarinet), Lucy Tompsett (French horn), Oliver Webster (saxophone), Samantha Weeks (clarinet) and Emily Wells (trombone).

Manor School fifth-graders who took part in the Elementary Solo Festival on January 27 and 28 at Barker Road Middle School were Megan Charles, Julia Gilbert, Avery Pude, Vivien Tudhope and Molly Zittel (all on the flute), Isaac Cromwell, Alyssa Gilbert, Elias Kittleson, Olivia Lascell, Violet Lewis, Cailyn Mannigan and Stella Schaefer (all on clarinet), Jack Gilbert, Evan Khona, Nolan Mueller and Chase Parkes (all on alto saxophone), Jackson Hawks, Luke McClean and Ryan Sartor (all on trumpet), Henry Lindsay (euphonium), Miles Philips (tuba) and Lainey Blythe, Noelle Harrison and Skylar Stevenson (all on percussion). Elementary Chorus students do not participate in a solo festival.
