The September 2nd meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Mendon Historical Society will feature Debra Clapp. Clapp is a retired HF-L teacher who is the Treasurer of Wild Wings, Inc. and a volunteer doing year-round educational tours at their facility in Mendon Ponds.
The Wild Wings, Inc. mission is to foster awareness, embrace respect and promote personal responsibility for the natural world. They believe the key to environmental conservation and preservation is education. They travel with many of their animals and birds to present educational programs. They also host educational programs and hikes at their facility in Mendon Ponds Park. We anticipate they will bring raptors to the meeting.
The Meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. on September 2 at the Mendon Community Center, 167 North Main Street in Honeoye Falls. This facility is handicapped accessible. The meeting is open to the public. The meeting room will be set up to accommodate social distancing. Masks will be required. For information, call 624-5655.
