The New York State Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) annual State Conference was held in Syracuse from September 20th through the 24th. Six members of the Ska-Hase-Ga-O NSDAR Chapter in Lima attended.

New York State has 118 DAR Chapters. Ska-Hase-Ga-O is the only remaining Livingston County Chapter. The Conference offers an opportunity for Daughters from across the state to conduct business and to network with colleagues and other Chapters. It also provides recognition and celebration of achievements.

Stephanie Dempsey, Ska-Hase-Ga-O Regent, was presented the New York State DAR 2023 Outstanding Chapter Regent Award. This highly celebrated award is presented to only one Regent each year. Stephanie was nominated by the officers and membership of Ska-Hase-Ga-O in recognition of her excellent leadership of and dedication to the Chapter. Stephanie also received the Exceptional State Chair Certificate for her work with the NYDAR Project Patriot Committee.

Other Ska-Hase-Ga-O Chapter awards included a Certificate of Recognition for Historical Preservation, a Blue-Ribbon Certificate for our annual Master Report, and a Certificate noting Exceptional Work for a DAR Patriot Project. Ska-Hase-Ga-O was also the winner of the “Pennies for Pouch” statewide challenge to support DAR educational works.
