Constitution Week is an annual observance in the United States held from September 17 to 23, commemorating the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787. This national celebration was initiated by the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) in 1955 and was officially established when President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed it into law in 1956.

To honor this important event, Lima Town Officials signed a proclamation and presented it to the Ska-Hase-Ga-O Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Lima, NY. The proclamation recognizes Constitution Week and reaffirms the Town’s commitment to promoting the principles and history of the U.S. Constitution within its community.
