Do you have questions about How Medicare works? Do you wonder if you have the right coverage for your medical, prescription and financial needs? At no cost, you can meet with an Independent Medicare broker to assist you with your decisions. An independent broker is licensed, insured and has current training on the Federal Medicare changes as well as the various Private Medicare Advantage and Supplement plan changes. Each year between October 15th and December 7th, Medicare beneficiaries are able to make changes to their Medicare plan effective January 1 the following year.
Local resident and independent Medicare broker, Kathy Coler, has been in the health insurance field for nineteen years with a current focus on Medicare in the Upstate NY area. With a focus on education, her aim is to find the right fit for each client with an objective overview of each plan. Knowing your options can help save you time and money as well as building a relationship with a local representative as ongoing support throughout the year.
To attend one of the local Medicare 101 meetings at HF-L High School or one of the local libraries prior to selecting your plan or if you need assistance transitioning into Medicare, you can contact Coler at 585-298-6288 or enroll through the HFL Community Programs portal. Upcoming Medicare 101 seminars are Monday, September 23rd at 6:00 PM and Tuesday, October 1, 6:00 PM, both in Room 104 of the high school. There is no cost to attend.
