The North Bloomfield Chapel is on Route 65. Sentinel file photo

As residents head into fall, the North Bloomfield Community Association has set aside the month of September to work on the outside of the Chapel.  The Chapel is located at 1924 State Route 65 and was originally built as a dance hall.  It was donated to the North Bloomfield Community Association in 1897.

The Community Association will be scraping, priming and painting the front of the building in September.  They have been completing other construction projects over the summer as well.  They have been working on scraping and epoxying window sills, replacing some of the clapboards, and swapping out the door sill.  They added a non-slip mat to the front step.  They would like to replace the front door, but have not found anything in better condition.

Please join them for their community work days.  They will start at 9AM on Saturday, September 12th as the first work day.  September 19th and 26th are also set aside as rain/work days. Please bring masks, scrapers, and step ladders that will be needed for the job. They appreciate your support!
