Residents, families, community members and friends of Pinehurst Senior Living gathered to celebrate their 25th Anniversary on Thursday, May 19, 2016. The party was exactly twenty-five years from the grand opening celebration on May 19, 1991. Guests enjoyed wonderful harp music, good food, plenty of drinks and fellowship. Mayor Rick Milne presented a plaque of appreciation to Pinehurst for serving residents and the community for the past 25 years. It was unexpected, and a wonderful surprise and honor for Pinehurst staff to accept this recognition.

“Pinehurst has a rich history in the Honeoye Falls area, and we truly enjoyed celebrating this milestone anniversary with so many people,” said Deanna Flaitz, Director of Pinehurst. “We remain committed to quality senior living now and for many years to come.”

Pinehurst recently affiliated with Episcopal SeniorLife Communities (ESLC). ESLC provides a full spectrum of care and housing options for seniors including skilled nursing, transitional care, assisted living, specialized memory care, hospice, independent living, affordable housing and patio homes. In addition, Neighborhood Programs promote health and wellness to seniors in the surrounding areas of their communities, expanding traditional services and allowing seniors to age in their place of choice.

Coming soon to Pinehurst is the Honeoye Falls Neighborhood Program – a health and wellness program for seniors in the Honeoye Falls/Mendon community. The program has three main components: physical fitness; nutrition; and education. The program’s goal is to assist seniors in maintaining independence by increasing knowledge, activity levels and overall health through fun, social programs specifically designed for older adults.
