RG&E is enhancing its text service to customers on life sustaining equipment (LSE) in a new program titled Critical Contact. It allows LSE customers to receive text messages before and during potential outages from RG&E’s critical needs specialists to assure they are safe. Customers who have a cell phone on file will automatically be enrolled. This initiative is focused on being proactive prior to a potential outage. The intent is to provide customers with convenience, ease of use, communication and safety.
