Hosted by Union Star Lodge #320, Sentinel’s Second Live Production Featured Jeff Taccetta, Kelly Paganelli & Deric West
Union Star Lounge debuted live last Saturday night at (roughly) 7:30 pm. Produced by the Sentinel’s sister company Pandamensional Productions, the 30-minute show is billed as “A Salute to the HF-L Class of 2020” and is hosted by Honeoye Falls’ Union Star Lodge #320 of Free and Accepted Masons. This new production joins Sentinel’s Mayors and Supervisors Update, which airs Sundays at 1:00 pm and is hosted by Sentinel Publisher Chris Carosa.
Emcee Andy Allan, currently serving as Master of Union Star Lodge #320, spoke with three guests over the course of the show. Jeff Taccetta, Literacy Specialist at the HF-L High School and HF-L Class of 2020 Co-Advisor, offered an up-to-date summary of what the class has been doing and thoughts on potential graduation ceremony alternatives.
Kelly Paganelli, Assistant Children’s Librarian, Mendon Public Library, then told the audience how the Library is reworking the summer reading program as well as how the Library is opening up. She spoke of the graduating HF-L seniors who helped the Library through their Girl Scout Gold Awards.
Finally, Deric West, owner and operator of the Marketplace grocery stores in Mendon and Honeoye Falls, closed the show with a lively discussion of the HF-L Class of 2020. “The last 14 weeks have really illustrated the courage, the commitment to the community and the resiliency” of the Class of 2020 and other student workers.” West explained how his stores wouldn’t have been able to support the community if it wasn’t for these students. “The students bring a sense of family to our grocery stores,” said West.
Union Star Lounge’s “Salute to the HF-L Class of 2020” series of live broadcasts airs every Saturday night at 7:30 on the Sentinel’s Facebook Page and YouTube Channel from now through June 27th. If know someone you’d like to see salute the HF-L Class of 2020, contact us at:
