County Legislator Rick Milne (L.D. 5) was voted in by the Republican Caucus to serve as the Assistant Majority Leader to the Monroe County Legislator. This is a key role that influences how this legislative body operates and will aid the party in carrying out its agenda.

County Legislator Steve Brew (L.D. 12) said, “Rick is an honorary member of this body who I am proud to serve with. I was more than willing to vote in favor of him for this position, and am confident he will fulfill his duties to the best of his abilities. Having Rick in this position will positively impact the people of Monroe County.”

Milne was first elected in 2021, representing the towns of Mendon and Rush, along with parts of Pittsford and Henrietta. Legislator Milne serves as the Vice Chair of the Public Safety Committee and is a ranking member of the Ways and Means Committee. He also serves as the mayor for the village of Honeoye Falls.
