On Monday, April 4, 2022, U.S. Congressman Chris Jacobs (NY-27) visited the Village of Honeoye Falls to meet with Honeoye Falls Mayor Rick Milne to discuss the Honeoye Falls Fire Department (new building) project. Mayor Milne is actively seeking financial support from both State and Federal officials for this critical project.

The Honeoye Falls Fire Department facility is well over 50 years old, and an independent study completed in 2012 stated, it is maxed out for capacity, and does not meet current needs along with structural and maintenance concerns for the building. A committee of local residents, businesspersons and fire department and municipal officials have determined the best path forward is to build a new facility to serve Honeoye Falls and the surrounding communities for the next 50-75 years.

Congressman Jacobs understands the need for a space that adequately facilitates training, quick response and equipment that meets the needs of fire response by current and future standards.
