The “Three Best Days in Mendon” will have to wait ‘til next year as the Mendon Fire Department has announced it will be cancelling it’s popular annual carnival. In a release posted on Facebook, the Department stated:

“It is with a heavy heart that for the first time in the history of the Mendon Carnival that due to the current situation and future outlook with COVID-19 that we are announcing the cancellation of the 2020 Mendon Carnival that was originally set to take place May 28th through the 30th. We will miss seeing our neighbors during the best three days in Mendon, but please rest assured we will be back stronger than ever in 2021!

While our firehouse and grounds remain closed to the public during this difficult time, our volunteers continue to train and respond to all emergency calls.

We have had a great number of requests from our neighbors asking what they can do for Mendon Fire.

With no carnival this year (typically our biggest fundraiser of the year) should you wish to make a donation to the Mendon Fire Department you can do so online at: mendonfd.org/donate. We are always in need of volunteers. Learn more here: mendonfd.org/volunteer.

We are all in this together!

Stay Safe,

Mendon Fire”
