The East Bloomfield Historical Society will present a program on “Women Suffrage in Western NY: A Movement for Generations” on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 7 p.m. at the Historical Society, 8 South Avenue in Bloomfield.

Learn about the fight women had to wage to earn the right to vote in New York State. Ontario County Historian, Preston Pierce will present the history of the suffrage movement in western New York. You will walk away with a great appreciation for this long-fought battle that led to the passage of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Dr. Preston Pierce is an FLCC adjunct instructor of History.
