Following a 50-year plus tradition, the annual Festival on the Green will be held on June 16, 17, and 18 in the Village of Honeoye Falls. The yearly event, originally headed by local Businesses, then the Honeoye Falls-Mendon Historical Society, this low-key, family-friendly event is now organized by a small group of interested Village residents, organizations, HF-L students, and businesspersons. Meeting monthly beginning in February of each year, we seek to ensure a fun-filled, low-cost weekend of events featuring local talents, foods, and area crafters, highlight our welcoming and historic village of Honeoye Falls, support Village concerns, and just have some fun!

Beginning with our yearly 5K benefiting local Village charities, foods such as the famous Iron Fireman Plate, music by Jonathan Stills, a Bonfire and exciting Fireworks Display on Friday evening at the Monroe Street Park, then continuing with area craft and food vendors and musical talents at Harry Allen Park on North Main Street on Saturday, and Sunday (including the ever-popular Father’s Day Pancake Breakfast in the Park), the schedule of events allows for casual strolls and plenty of music and fun in the Village, enjoying all we are blest with.

New this year, we will feature a wonderful, LIMITED edition 2017 Festival poster created by a local student, available only at the Festival site on Saturday and Sunday, recycling and ‘going green’ points of information, and a creative Positivity Wall. Be sure to look for the special FOTG Booth on the Green – we will have an on-going list of ideas for next year, and would welcome both new ideas and new members willing to put in some work on the next Festival on the Green.

Other areas of interest include special plans at both Tractor Supply on West Main Street on Saturday, and the beginning celebration at CB Craft Brewers at Village Square on Friday evening – kicking off their ‘Twenty Years of Brewing Beers’. Truly, there is no better place to be than Honeoye Falls!
